Er... no.  The electronics got fried.  This is only illegal if it's blatantly stated "this computer won't be used for the company".  If you claim it is still company property, OR if you just let the company "order it" and then have them go "oh looks like we don't need this (conveniently give it to employee's kid)" you can get by.

I accidentally locked my own brother out of his laptop. (I had to set up a password to enter a network drive and now i forgot it)
Is there any way i could reset his password without reformatting?
I tried a password recovery tool, it wont let me reset without registering for something i can't do because i don't know what the loving thing is.

anyways, i ran the password loving lookup on the same tool and since it would only allow first 3 letters which i knew and...
the password was conveniently called "pie"
a 3 letter password by not even one of my favorite foods...

you should make a $1200 alternative with a 2500k for gaming and a better GPU.

the i7 2600k is only better then the i5 by hyperthreading apps.
otherwise, theyre incredibly minor, if not even in gaming performance and non hyperthreading.

I recently just got a 550ti that was an upgrade form my old GTS 250. How much better is it than the 250 and will my Core 2 Duo E8200 bottleneck it? And if so, by how much?

Quite a bit better, it'd be maybe 70%-80% better, you'd definitely feel a difference.
And no, the CPU won't bottleneck it.

I'm just going to change the OS to Ubuntu, is there any way to refine it to computers without OSes?
