Thinking about adding another 1TB HDD though.
Also thinking about changing the keyboard with something that has a dedicated music screen.
Could someone suggest me a keyboard with a dedicated music screen? I find myself using stuff like that often.

I already have an ODD that will work. I got most of these parts from Koopa's builds and improvised a bit.

Very nice, but if you're going to purchase it, why not get the drive I stated? It's the same price, has a $10 promo code currently, and you get more space...

on a related note my hard drive scratched itself when it powered down and i lost some core windows components (which were briefly replaced because i can't go without computer management)
not sure if i need a new video card or hard drive now

Whoops. Changed that on my bookmarks. :l

I can slide Core Clock and Memory Clock all the way to the right, but it goes to 0 when i try to apply.
I've tried updating my drivers using amd's software, and using device manager. Anybody have any tips?

Have you tried just sliding it up a very very very small amount to see if it works at all?

No, I haven't but I know it won't work. I tried using MS Fix It, and it reported that the graphics card had a problem and no drivers could be installed.
Should I contact Newegg, who sold me it, or somebody else about it?

Can anyone recommend a decent laptop suitable for light gaming? Windows 7 would be nice and I want to be able to run League of Legends on low settings. Other than that I only really need it for browsing the internet and watching some HD stuff.

I won't be playing anything crazy like Skyrim or Mass Effect 3 on it.

Quad core and a Radeon 6500 isn't so bad, and for only $400, it's a pretty good deal.

My laptop screen won't turn on when the computer starts, and everything else seems normal enough, but I cant tell exactly. Laptop got to about 80c before it shutdown.

So I don't have to bump, after leaving it on for about half an hour then restarting it again it worked out. Kinda weird.

Plug it in to a monitor to see if it works.

my drive powered down unexpectedly while running and now it has 203 bad sectors
how do i fix it

Run chkdsk

    Open the "Computer" window
Right-click on the drive in question
    Select the "Tools" tab
    In the Error-checking area, click <Check Now>.

chkdsk was run the next startup after the random power down
like 4 files were recovered and some components of windows were corrupt
