Please tell us a little about why. Is it for work-related purposes, or for pleasure?

I guess if you had 4000 dollars to build a pc, I would build one just to piss other gamers off just to say that I have it.  I am pretty sure that is the exact reasoning he's blowing all his parents money on it.

Well at least it isn't a Mac.

treynolds, my motherboard already has display ports on it.

what would the difference be if i just used the imbedded ports on the motherboard instead of a graphics card?

You couldn't play any games is what I am assuming since they will run off the display out ports on the graphics card rather than on the motherboard.  But what do I know I am just completely guessing.

whooo, installed my first computer component other than RAM. It was a 450w PSU for my crappy comp. and I was replacing the psu i managed to slightly break.

Now to install 4 more gigs of RAM.

If your motherboard and processor both used integrated graphics, that would be the display you would get (equivalent of a low-grade graphics card). If it didn't have integrated graphics, you would not have very much graphics capability at all, pretty much none.

The best option is to use the connection from your graphics card, because if you have one you should use it

i bought a bad graphics card. but i have more money and i am planning on returning it to newegg and getting the HD radeon 6850

or this

if the guy with the expensive PC from the last page is going to use it for bitcoin mining I'm going to laugh a lot

but if he's using it for something like F@H then good for you at least that's productive

then again he actually bought a soundcard so now I'm just confused

A combination of BOINC Manager, FL Studio, and heavy workstation processing work that requires a powerful GPU and CPU.

Games might be played on it, but only sparingly.

seems like you're doing some neat stuff with it, but if you're doing mostly CPU/GPU intensive tasks why not get a workstation GPU or a server CPU?

Momentum, get a 560 ti
The radeon 6000 series is discontinued, dunno why you would buy it. A gpu with more power (the next step up, if you will) than the 560 ti is the radeon 7850, which is what I use currently

How much is it?

edit:

oohh, if i return the other gpu, i get 40 bucks back, but i seem to have to return the whole loving shipment of parts.

and the gpu has 30 dollar mail in rebate

more edit:

this one mabye?
