around 50?

I've asked a bunch of times and my parents are hesitant to actually give me a price range for some reason, or I'd have specified one.

Ordering Monday (Hopefully.)

GPU is later on, but that will be a EVGA Nvidia Geforce 560 GTX.

Did you just order an entire computer for a little under 600?

You could go for some 30 dollar g skill ram and there would be no change in performance

Any DVI to DVI cable will work TBH.
Also, do be aware that that monitor is only 17 inch, and isn't widescreen.
You are aware you can add a monitor through the CyberPower configurator? I'm not sure of the price though.
Yeah when adding VAT the monitors on CyberPower cost an extra £10.
What's the difference with a widescreen and non wide screen?

So does this mean

can this thing help me run Portal 2 and Fallout New Vegas on like high settings?
Nope.
Budget?

probably can't even run it on medium lol.

Seriously, those kinds of cards are only good as HTPC cards, other than that, they're crap.

Also, question here, My 20" monitor is VGA, is that bad? How much worse than HDMI or DVI? Hope it's not too bad, I mean, at least I'm running higher than 720p (900p)
Lower image quality and some distortion.

Uh, look in OP. It's possible to get an entire quad core system for $300.

Try stay away from caviar greens. They are slower and only really meant for storage and not boot drives.

Yeah.
Widescreen is just that, widescreen.
Have you not used anything that is widescreen? Movies are recorded in widescreen 16:9 format, most new TVs and monitors are also widescreen and have been for years.

Nope.
A 5450 will run Portal 2 on high on my PC. Why couldn't this one?
