A 5450 will run Portal 2 on high on my PC. Why couldn't this one?
Resolution?
I'll believe it when I see it.

Lower image quality and some distortion.

Was a bit sad there, but found out my monitor has a DVI port! :D

Will need to find a DVI cable though, has to be one somewhere in the house.

Ok I thought I had it at high. But I changed it and I saw no difference in fps.
I'm playing on 1024x768.

That's a tiny resolution. Do people still use monitors like that?
1080p (most common new monitor resolution nowadays, also considered true 'max detail') is ~2 million pixels to render.
1024x768 (your resolution) is ~700,000 pixels to render.
So, you can effectively halve your FPS or so.

I'm playing windowed. My actual monitor is 1280x768

Yeah I've seen widescreen, I was just wonderig if it affects much.

Great, I can order it soon then! :D
THANK YOU

I personally far prefer widescreen but it's preference.

Maybe if I ever get a bit extra money I'll get a new monitor. This was just the cheapest I could find.

New question.

Will the $500 build be able to support two monitors? One is VGA/HDMI and other is HDMI/DVI/VGA.
VGA is 19.5" tv/monitor combo, and the other will be 23" monitor.

Try stay away from caviar greens. They are slower and only really meant for storage and not boot drives.

Well, stuff.

Then I guess I'll have to get the seagate one that's 10 more dollars.

don't get seagate either, low-quality.

Also, I wish I had 1080p, I only have 900p, oh, well enough :P. 720p on BF3 on PS3 looked amazing, enough for me. :p

but then 1080p looks so good, but only my TV in the living room is 1080p, which I probably won't be able to hook up with my computer due to various reasons.

TVs are a very stretched 1080p anyway

Mmmm just got a new ASRock G31M-GS R2.0 motherboard and it's purring like a kitten.

...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

What about Samsung? Are they good enough?

Also:

You could go for some 30 dollar g skill ram and there would be no change in performance

GSkill? Alright, I need to make up for the HD change.

At first I thought it would be awful, it still looks really really good
