What are you looking to do with it?

work. so i have that graphics card.

You spent too much on excessive RAM, and that SSD is pretty useless because it goes through USB 2.0, which means it will be slower than your SATA hard drive. It has a SATAII interface as well.
Yeah, that RAM is a little expensive. This is the RAM I put in my computer:

32GB of that will be about $120.

Here's a much better SSD of the same size for much less:

This is the SSD I'm probably going to get for my computer when I upgrade it:

What's the ratio of money spent on CPU : money spent on GPU I should try to stick to? The parts I have picked out now are $240 : $240, but I have a feeling that I should spend more on a better gpu

k
i will be using pecons 2000 build then or someone send me a build that they selected off of PCpartpicker.

qq.

Pecons 2000 build isn't that good, I'll whip one up for you.

If the main issue is me choosing expensive parts it's because I only chose parts that were 5-star rated. (Aside from the hard drive, because not a single hard drive had five stars) If you're spending $2000, why settle for parts that have possible issues?

Sorry didn't look back a page and thought he was talking about your AMD $2000 build

could someone find me a good headset with a mic under $15?
I'd prefer newegg

Define "good" and we'll see if that's even possible.

My laptop has been overheating recently. Is there a solution that isn't buying a cooling pad?

Dusting it out can help.

What do you guys think?  I saw this, and wondered what most people's reaction would be.  It seems like something I'd love to buy, 11" with a Core i5 and a GT 650M, but what about heat?

Really, the core matters little. i3's can outperform i7's and vice versa and i5 and all different combinations. It's just a newer architecture, which is rarely significant to your raw processing power

Always have it on a hard surface. Never carpet.

My brother has a laptop with an i7 and a 650M. It is really nice. He got it because his old nice laptop broke, so HP gave him a new one.
