could someone find me a good headset with a mic under $15?
I'd prefer newegg

i have this and it works fairly good.
when you wear it after awhile of hurting your ears (about 12 hours of use) it gets better, and eventually stops hurting all together.
and then it feels good after that.

can someone direct me to good 4GB+ of RAM (DDR2) that's <$60 (<$40 preferred but i can do $60 if necessary)
or is that unheard of and ridiculous

Depends on how you want that RAM divided up. Good 2GB sticks will run you around $30 for DDR2, 4GB sticks are going to go up to 70-80 apiece. You save money buy buying smaller sticks but you'll also use up more memory slots for the same amount.

If you're trying to get 16GB of RAM it might be cheaper to buy a new motherboard that supports DDR3 along with the newer RAM.

I'd actually prefer it in 2GB sticks, for some reason I like that idea.

Possibly because the end result will be 6GB instead of 7.

i think 2GB will be a sufficient boost anyway

is it bad that i can't tell if sarcastic?

also, i installed a new (well not new, salvaged from my new computer which currently has a 600 watt now) 250 watt psu in my old dell desktop, hopefully the 9800gt can handle it, it seems like its working.
removing cables reinstalling new cables, plugged in HDD no cords for CD drive.
started up computer no boot device detected.
took 5 minutes till i figured out that the sata transfer cable got loose, a wire was rubbing against the fan.
another opening to fix it.
dingdingding problems fixed, still need new PSU but this will do if it doesn't crash the computer.
actually, i haven't tried it on games for longer then a hour so i don't know if the problems are fixed entirely.
if fixed, new steps: wireless adapter.

Is this O.K for a $1700 computer?

(And I do need the 12 gbs of ram for 3d modeling, graphics, etc.)

If you're doing 3d modeling and graphics, you should replace that GTX 680 with a workstation card.

I was saying that I had many headphones to make my ears ache after wearing them for a while but got used to them aswell, and I said thanks because you found me a good headset

You have two 1TB hard drives. That is a lot of space.

Also that SSD manufacturer calls it a solid state disk lol. I highly doubt that the drive is disk-shaped.

I got 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM years ago and it was less than or equal to $50. It was 4x1GB, but I imagine that a good deal should have a much lower price.

EDIT: Looking around it appears that 8 gigs of DDR3 is actually cheaper than 8 of DDR2. They both take up 240 pins so I would research compatibility. It will definitely be a better deal.

I already have 4x1GB, and that's all the slots I have.

Very nice ram. DDR3 though. Information on your motherboard might help.
