Is the intel i3 processor going to be better than an AMD FX6100 because I heard that intel is pretty much AMD but more expensive

The FX series is a newer series but so far it has done amazingly, as expected with AMD, and for the GPU I would strongly suggest the 7770.

He doesn't mean brand, he means DDR3, DDR2 type.

As expected, noone wants to spend more for less, the 7770 is a very well performing card, it will be able to run most modern day games on medium to high-ish settings with an average framerate.
