The i7 is the only one that throttles the GTX680. Other then that, thanks.

unless you're going to do a gtx 690, it wouldnt bottleneck it.

actually even then on a gtx 690, it still wouldnt bottleneck it if you're on single screen.

and STILL even then it would become a non bottleneck if you overclock it.

I can't buy it until at my birthday, so I will revise it accordingly to the Haswell architecture's i5 and i7 (if Intel doesn't screw up the processor naming scheme again).

Keep in mind that the power of computers increases exponentially almost every 2 years.

I would also go with the 7970 as I feel that it is a better value, and generally anything more powerful isn't necessary until you move onto resolutions above 1080p.

Yep, sure is. I need to update it, but I'm in the process of doing a diploma, and a full time job which I just got at a computer store. stuff's hectic, but hopefully I have time to get around and revamp this stuff.

It's a weird number in terms of gained performance, for some games there will be a very small increase in FPS, but with others there is a very noticeable change. It doesn't get to twice the performance from what I've heard.
