Author Topic: What's the dimensions of a Blockhead?  (Read 1428 times)

First of all, yeah I know, third topic on one page made by me. I have issues and I need help :P

I'm making a Giant Blockhead. yes, I know this has been done quite a few times before. But I have never seen a "good" one. They're all pretty inaccurate IMO. And a friend of mine built a giant Blocko head with the face I was using, on it. I thought it looked good so now I'm using that sort of design and dimensions to make a giant Blockhead robot sort of thing.
So here's my question, if the head has the same dimensions as a 16x cube, what should the dimensions of the rest of the body be?
I'm trying to figure out the main body at the moment, and I can't figure it out..

Give me a pic of a blockhead, sraight on.

This was originally to show differences between FOV

To me, it seems like the length from shoulder to side of head is 1/4th of the head width, so if it was a 16x plate, the shoulder would be 4x wide.
And probably x8 long, meaning the shoulder should be 4x8.
I think you can go from there. If you need help, ask me.

ok, thanks, Ima start working on that...

awesome, I have the head and the torso done. (It took quite a while to get a good looking bit of pixel art for the decal.)
Now I just need to figure out the rest

Ok.
Lemme check it out.
Note:The torsos, in Lego and BL, angle out slightly.

The collision box is approximately (standing) 3x3x14

ok, I have finished the pants, feet, torso, and head. Now I just need the arms.
And I'm not trying to make it perfectly accurate, but it's pretty close. Close enough to look good.
Btw, any suggestions on how I should go about the arms? when standing idle, the hands are angled odd, and I'm not exactly sure how to build it that way.

Well, the front slope of the arm is angled so that it's horizontal, so make that flat, then slope the rest. The hands could be difficult.

Also, pic pleeaz? c:

lol ok, just gimme a few minutes...

Btw the feet just look a little bit off because of the angle I'm at. It's pretty well aligned with the body.

The decal is the Block mesa thing, since there wasn't enough room for that, I just put JIT BOT. (Jit is short for Jitterbug, an alternate username I sometimes use.)
And the face has no eyes because that's sort of where you sit and control the thing.

You know, if you like you can always come on my server and help out with the shoulders/hands, I'm honestly not sure how to go about this..

That looks really nice!

The top of the arms is probably 6x4 or something, hard for me to tell :/
