Noisestorm, ApproachingNirvana (with and without the space), and I tried typing in monstercat and nothing right came up

what is last.fm all about? what are the key features?

It has a radio feature, but basically you download the scrobbler, and anything you play through your media player will be added to your own personal charts, so all your friends can see what you're listening to. It also gives pretty kick ass recommendations. It's the closest thing to music social networking there is.
