Author Topic: Death Desert by: Sir Herg1  (Read 3171 times)

My friends Diputsman (Trevor), Trioffire and I have recently been working on a series of middle eastern war builds, generally designed to contain large building structures under inspiration of the upcoming Battlefield 3. I have also noticed that these builds turned out to be great film sets, thus bringing me to the conclusion that I will be making short action movies after the completion of each war build.

This build has been named Death Desert

"This is a film where an elite squad is deployed by the U.S. to assassinate a deadly terrorist by the name of Aubahn Bin Mudee (The Butcher). After a series of unfortunate events, the protagonist of the story (Trevor) soon discovers that he is facing a completely different enemy in this compelling story of the "Death Desert".

"Amazing. Simply amazing. Congratulations on another great video, Sir Herg1." - BlockBahamut

"I want to comment on its awesomeness, but I don't know what to comment." - Jayce

"It's a great movie" - Lørd Tøny

Please tell me what you all think of this film as it is my 2nd actually movie I've made!

Ha, I loved making this video with you, I really like how it turned out

I laughed how like the terrorist on top of the building with the Rpg shoots at the people
"Ambuuush!"
(1 person)
*Kills*
(Next scene)
(No one is there)
GO IN THE BUILDING FOR COVER!

WehrMW 2 minutes ago

that was awful.

you had the ion cannon enabled while filming the shooting scenes, therefore you created earrape, and bad earrape at that. the noise was caused from gunshots hitting anything. the weapon choice was also pretty pitiful, gcats old weaponset is COMPLETELY awful, and rykutas old L4D weapons are stuff. you should have only used the new weapons you had there.and also where in gods name did the traitor come from

my summary of the movie.
build was fine and so were the actors

Why is it that you're judging my weapon set as if it's a deathmatch? The weapons looked perfectly fine for film. Sides, I like those weapons.

Also, if you were paying attention then you would have noticed the traitor was the leader of the squad.

That was pretty great.

Some of the camera angles were just perfect, like the rotation around the intersection for one. The builds were pretty solid too, apart from the way you could see where it ended... even in the desert you wouldn't get a random cluster of highrise like that so it looked a tad awkward in any scenes that revealed the border, though maybe I am just overthinking it.

Voice acting was good, story was pretty great except
I felt the part where that leader guy turned on them and revealed he was working for the terrorists... I don't think that really did much for the story, nor made much sense. It sort of felt like you just wanted to add a twist and that you just stuck one in for the sake of it. So I guess that part didn't really feel clever or witty, or have that shock factor you generally aim for when doing something like that.
But that little aspect isn't enough to ruin the video for me, I enjoyed it.

9/10
