really? Lake Forest over here, buddy.

Is he rich? Alot of people here are really rich...

I'm jelly of all yall
That is what I get.
160 kb/s isn't all that bad for servers, but my brother takes up 100kb/s of it watching Netflix 24/7.

Honestly, as long as im getting over 300 kilobytes p/sec download, im fine.
It just means 1 Gig is around an hour or so of downloading.

You're paying $57 per month for a connection with monthly bandwidth caps?

ISP's lie. They say you can get UP to, but in reality you need to be near the thing that connects the phone line. In the UK, BT owns all the lines and everyone else rents from them.

Congratulations, Bell, you're the worst ISP in Canada, possibly the world!

My family is promised 5-6 Mb/s download, and .66 Mb/s upload, with a 60GB bandwidth limit. We are not getting what we pay for AT ALL (bandwidth wise.) One of your technicians told me that you'd have this bullstuff fixed by mid September, but there has been scarcely ANY improvement at all with my latency, or download speed. What I do not understand is that my parents are overpaying ($56.90 /month, before taxes) for ABSOLUTE stuff. There are nothing but bad reviews on DSL reports that aren't Bell employees in disguise. Please help me convince my parents that this ISP is horrible and we should switch.

tl;dr I'm tired of Bell's DSL service and my parents are being completely unreasonable that we're overpaying for a horrible service.

Save me please. :panda:

Your ISP was likely talking about megaBITS per second. 5-6 megabits per second = 625-750 kilobytes per second, which is congruent with most of those speed test results (which fluctuate even on good connections). No ISP that I know of uses Megabytes per second to rank their connection speed because megabits sound like a larger number.

speedtest uses megabits/second.
