What? I somehow doubt anyone would say that if you didn't type that at all.

It would have been much nicer if they simply began making more episodes for certain shows with the permission/aid of the original creators.

That's generally never a good idea depending on the years apart. They would have to appeal to a whole new generation which could alienate the original fans of the series. Then you'd have to get the voice acting just right, the same or similar artistic views, etc.

Compare the old Scooby Doo episodes to the brand new ones, it's just not the same. The story is different so is generation appeal, artistic view, etc.

Compare Dexter's Laboratory seasons 1 and 2 to seasons 3 and 4. Dexter's Laboratory seasons 3 and 4 is so bad it seriously looks like Johnny Test.

Quote
The series re-entered production in 2001.[16] The new episodes, which ran for two more seasons, had a different production team than the originals since Genndy Tartakovsky was busy working on Samurai Jack[17] and Star Wars: Clone Wars[18] (MacFarlane and Hartman had left Time Warner altogether at this point, focusing on Family Guy[10] and The Fairly OddParents,[11] respectively). This second line of episodes featured noticeably different visual designs, minor inconsistencies with the original episodes both in storyline and in visuals, different sound effects, and Christine Cavanaugh, the original voice for Dexter was replaced with Candi Milo for most of these episodes (as Cavanaugh had retired from voice acting in 2001 for personal reasons, though she still voiced Dexter for the first few episodes of Season 3).[citation needed] The creators did not attempt to recreate the look and atmosphere of the originals. This second series was not quite as well received as the first, and these new episodes were canceled in their second season.[citation needed]

Today, the series (seasons 1-2) is often labeled a classic of Cartoon Network's late 1990s staple of original animated programs (the collective Cartoon Cartoons).

There's like 4 people on this forum that can truly appreciate 90's tv.

Since Canada gt Nickelodeon I found out that they were already starting to play 90s shows :3

Now I can watch tv again :3

I miss shows like, Ren & Stimpy, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, Rocket Power, Hey Arnold, old Hindenberg era Sponge Bob. I was never big on those live action shows like iCarly, Drake & Josh, Keenan and Kel, The Amada Show, or All That. It seems like Nick is trying to be Fox and Cartoon Network is trying to be like the Internet these days. Makes me wish that I had a time machine to relive the 90's. Good times.

Amanda show was pretty decent imo, I watched it once with my bud.

iCarly needs to get cancelled, the show is just a pile of bland unfunny muck.

Tony is also right about Dexter, as soon as Dexter and the Powerpuff girls switched to flash animination, they also decided to do a total make over to the show. Mandark wearing a gay outfit, darker colors, the characters looking not as recognizeable.

You also forgot about the stuffty back stories they added. Remember that episode showing Mandark's parents and how they are hippies and Mandark's real name is Susan?

Oh and they completely removed shorts like Justice Friends.
