So for about two months now I have been looking forward to sending in my application for a two week school trip to Germany. However my mother does not have nearly the amount of money to fund such a trip. This prompts me to ask my religious aunt who holds around 20,000 dollars in trust money that I technically have a right now but have no jurisdiction over when I get it. So I've been in contact and I sent a few emails about information and such. So this morning she sends me an email saying;
"Good morning! I am hoping to catch you on the phone sometime this afternoon or early this evening. I do appreciate your patience, and have some ideas that I hope you will find interesting. Love, Aunt Sue"
Now of course I go to the worst case scenario thinking that she wants to impose religion on me or suppress my loveuality or what or something along the lines. But I give a her a call anyway. The resulting 30 minutes conversation was full of ideas about alternative trips and the basic idea seems to be now; Fly to Portland, Oregon (I'm coming for you badspot) spend a week there, fly to Phoenix, Arizona. Spend a week there. Spend six weeks in Germany on a separate trip (Instead of my school trip). Then go back to school here in the US for another year. After that spend one year on an all expenses paid foreign exchange program at a German school and them come back to the US.
My aunt is awesome and I totally misjudged her.
