Just the 13".

It's an i5 processor, I'd get the 8GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD, coming to a total of $1,509.

... Seems alright to me.

What do you guys think?

do you NEED a laptop? specifically a mac? because for those specs $1500 is absurd

but if you like shiny things, go for it?

Yeah, it's good. Just be prepared when the hard drive stuffs out, it's common but a few minutes with a screwdriver and you can replace it.

what do you plan on doing with it. macs are better for things like video editing, creation of music and the like, but a PC is better for doing things like playing videogames.

What are your purposes for the laptop specifically? IE, gaming, work, video editing, etc?

If you're gaming and such, DO NOT go with a macbook.

Hold on expect some people to come in thinking it's cool to stuff all over a Mac because they can't afford one. Sounds pretty good, so I don't see why not.

It's a thousand more dollars for the apple thunderbolt display

they can't be loving serious

but the laptop is good

jesus christ what kind of black magic RAM is Apple using that costs $210 for 8 GB?

I'm not paying for the computer; if I wanted the laptop alone I'd get it for much cheaper. I'm getting it for the OS plus the hardware

I'm... not sure.

I actually really like the macbook pro. I'd say go for it, if you're not a poorcigarette like the people complaining in this thread.

You could get a computer with the same or better specs for ~$700.
I wouldn't go for it.

go for it. they make high quality products anyway, if money isn't an issue andif you're not using it for gaming, I really don't see why not

man, macs were waaaay cheaper when i bought my macbook pro...

The main problem with Macs is the fact that a Windows computer with the same specs would cost 600 bucks.
