Author Topic: my computer broke  (Read 1056 times)

my old macbook pro won't work. apparently my nividia graphics card got forgeted up during shipping and was put into a forgetton of laptops. because of that forgetup a lot of the laptops have graphics cards that can break anywhere from 1 year to 10 years into having the product. luckily apple is replacing graphics cards that were broken for free.

dont graphics cards generally not last even ten years anyways under the care of the average computer user

they last for a long time as in they make stuff work correctly. the graphics card, even at stuffty condition, turns the screen on at startup and lets you use the GUI. my graphics card is completely shot as in all other components work perfectly, except the GUI basically doesn't exist anymore. besides, this thing is only a few years old. i think 5 years maximum.

It depends on the usage, and the effort put into the quality of it.

and if you just let it be attacked by millions of dust particles with no interruption for six years

I have a loving Mac laptop. They are like big iPhones, a bitch to open.
