Author Topic: Generic house and SnowFrost  (Read 3298 times)

I recently built a Generic House, barely 5k bricks (12k being the grass and tree spam). It includes 5 "sections": Snow, Mountain, Grass, Ocean, Autumn ("Gold"). See this image for preview of everything.
Around the middle of all, I built a house, and added 2 bots (A son/husband and a mother?) for the sakes of it.
The house is fully furnished and features multiple items that work with events.

The map looks best at night, also will most likely use night at times so SnowFrost can keep it's creepy theme.

I don't want to stop updating the house, or this topic, so as I go through updates on the house, I will update the topic.

Before this topic (around 10 minutes...) I included SnowFrost to the map. SnowFrost was a previously done TDM map by me built for Gravity Cat. (Was used around 1 year ago). After 15 minutes of optimizations, I brought SnowFrost into this map, with a creepy theme (also Creepy music playing in background). SnowFrost is accessible through the tunnel. After going in, you can easily go back just by getting in the tunnel. The distance between the 2 saves is very far away, that is because each save has over 10k bricks, and that is to save some lag. Not to mention both saves use a absurdity of effects and lights (house only for lights, SnowFrost contains no lights at all).

Here is an image of the house before the "major" roundup (sections, grass, etc.)

I personally think this would end up as a nice wallpaper.

And finally, the back of the house.

Each light is turnable on/off. The tiki's at the back of the house are turnable on/off one by one. The candles in the garage & dinning room are turnable on/off one by one, and all the lights can be instantly turned off by a "reset" button which is accessed only by me.

Upon "entering" water, the player gets teleported to the back yard, receiving a message about how they can't swim.

The upper part (hills) is not reachable in any method, except jetting or the horse bot (which is included..), but it's the low-jump version (thanks Lord Tony) so yet again, it's rendered useless to try get on the hillls.

The only section that is not reachable is Snow. However, Snow is on the part with the tunnel (In the first picture; left side), so technically going through the tunnel means you're going in Snow; otherwise SnowFrost.

The dinning room, yet old-themed, contains some tech in it. Including trophies, the "All lights off" switch, and some other minor functions.

The dinning room also contains a boombox which from 1 button can switch between some of the default songs. The third switch stops the music.

The kitchen fridge actually gives food from my Food pack, there are a total of 6 types of food (2 refreshments) which the fridge gives.

The first room; the living room (the one with the TV) has an orange lightning in the picture. There are actually 2 orange lightnings, the room being sectioned in 2.

The TV and PC screens are prints, the remote and the UC work with setPrint, turning the screens blue or black.

The Light Posts are separated from the "Reset all lights" button, however, the button to turn them on and off is 2 bricks away form the reset button.

The only lateral window comes from the dining room, the only view in it being a "spooky" cave. I might make it reachable in a way or another and make it trigger another "realm", this time without an easy return (an challenge).

Despite of what you're thinking and what I was saying, the "garage" is worthless; there's no car spawner, just a horse spawner. Yet, there are 2 tires in the Garage.

Funfact: The house has a total of 11 rooms. 4 of them being 2 (Splits).

Also, here's a picture of the dinning room with the candles on; all the other lights being turned off.

It took me exactly 32 saves to get this done, and in the end it uses 41719 bricks.

And that's quite it, actually is more to say, but I am not going to go into deeper details. Feel free to rate and give me constructive criticism.

Yeah, forgot about the old topic: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=168834.0

Pictures Skill4Life told me to add to OP:

Cooperate

I thought I'd let people cooperate.

You can join the server anytime it's up (LeetZero's LeetLegacy) and build anything, from a house to furniture, which may be added to the map.

I am now currently working on the autumn part, which will be a park, actually an edit of a park of mine which was updated.

Also, time to add some Snowfrost and WIP Park pictures in light:

Snowfrost could also use some more stuff.

i want the images not gayzo links

i want the images not gayzo links

Instead of posting about how you can't click some links, please backspace back into Gallery. Thanks.

That's very nice Leet, keep up the work, and I don't care about clicking on the links.

Basement might need more lighting though, good job anyhow!

Great job! Could imagine family RPlayers stealing this. XD

It'd be much easier to just have pictures IN the first post.

I like the build though, nice job.

You guys need to cry some more, if you're too lazy to click a link, get off the internet.

It really is a very nice build. It captures the spooky feel well. Its just very neat. :o

Maybe he posted links cause when he post pictures, it doesn't work.

he should stop using gayzo and use a quality image hosting site then

anyways the house is alright, but following the links and stuff is confusing. it would make the topic much more quality if you would include the pictures in the post.

And you should quit whining because you have to click a link. I'm willing to bet that whatever browser you're using has tabs in it so with a simple right click on the link you can open the image and there's no problems. Unless you're just that bad at keeping track of things, it's not hard to figure out which link comes next. The post looks fine, it's not an application topic so really, appearance doesn't matter. Quit making a situation out of it. You were even dumb enough to make the first post something stupid regarding the "issue" instead of actually saying something about the build.
