Some blind people are able to use echolocation quite well.

Regardless, it doesn't matter. Sight is a sense, and considering Slendy had no eyes, I'm sure he has some supernatural way of detecting you. But biting? That's a 100% physical action inflicted upon a non-supernatural being. Good luck being bitten without a mouth to be bitten with, that's all I'm saying.
