Author Topic: Of mice and men is an amazing story :c  (Read 2670 times)

I remember reading the book Freshmen year. When drove by the place the book took place I remembered the book. Still love that book.

Yeah, amazing book indeed.
I read this 2 times in different english classes (in Norway). If students in other countries have to read it 2 times, you know it's an amazing book :)

Also; the movie is very good. John Malkovich does some amazing acting there. Has anyone else seen it?

Am I the only one who think the book sucked ass?

I'm okay with not all action, but I at least want some suspense from the author. But nope, just extreme dialect and not even a cliff hangar at the end.

You guys should read "Airborn" and "Skybreaker" by Kenneth Oppel
They are awesome books that takes place in the past but airships rule the skies and stuff
They are great reads

Read it freshmen year. Very good.

The poem it took its title from is excellent as well, I recommend it to you all.

How can you guys...enjoy this?

Enjoying good literature is natural. What do you usually read?

It's a heart-touching story: You reaaally want it to end well, yet at the same time you know it's not going to end well. And then there's a glimpse of hope. But at the end everything goes to hell...

The second saddest part is when the old guy wishes he was there to put down his dog :'(

Let's see...books I like. I read Sci Fi stuff usually. Mostly stuff by Ray Bradbury; his short stories are my favorites. Also the Maze Runner was a great book.

George, I like fluffy rabbits.

I like Bradbury. Have you ever read any Vonnegut?
