I don't need quotes to make the point. Here are some pictures.
This is the default Blockland gun. It is not beveled anywhere and has next to no detail. It looks good.
This is Bushido's Assault rifle. The handle is left completely flat except for a little plane like what is on the default gun. The stock is mostly long straight lines except on the top where it is beveled to look smooth, and the parts could be easily distinguished from each other even if the whole thing was a single color. The details Bushido put into the model are present enough to be noticeable, but they don't distract you from the model as a whole. It also looks good.
This is Pi's Thompson SMG. The foregrip is beveled, but nothing else is. It would be almost impossible to distinguish where the body ends and the stock and grip begin if it weren't for them being a different color. The grip has these ridiculously sharp angled finger grooves that would look ridiculous in the blockhead's hands, and the trigger guard is trying to be round when the blockhead fingers are square. The stock appears to be made up of several segments in an attempt to look smoother, but the lack of beveling makes it just look jagged. The charging handle (at least I think what that is) on the side looks gaudy and lonely, since there are no other details on the body at all. It looks ridiculous.
Pi has the potential to be a good modeler, but as of right now his models are inconsistent at best and
just plain bad at worst.
