Author Topic: House to vote on affirming ‘In God We Trust’ as national motto  (Read 9967 times)

We're turning into a republican government.
I prefer to have the church and state separated.

west indies federation: To dwell together in unity
loving basement dwellers

I don't see a problem with it.

Seems pretty fair as they don't make you say it.

"God will help us with all of our problems."
America Sucks.

you ask me if I mean exactly what I said?
I used different words
so?
well right under my asking that, I quoted what I said earlier about separation of church and state.

maybe if you pray enough the placebo affect will help you out

>slightly christian saying having anything to do with goverment

>AAAAAAAAAAAAA SEPERATION CHURCH STATE PLZ IM ALLERGIC TO RELIGEON

"God will help us with all of our problems."
America Sucks.
Where does it say that?

I wouldn't agree on having it as a national motto cuz not everyone in the united states is religious.

the legislation has 64 co-sponsors. the square root of 64 is 8. 8/2 is 4, and the square root of 4 is 2. the numbers on either side of 2 are 1 and 3. 3 1s is 111, 111x3 is 333. 333x2 is 666. 666, the number the beast. coincidence? I THINK NOT!

tl;dr: our government is run by idiots.

The new motto should just be "We're All Lumberjacks and We're Okay!"

Forbes said he introduced the bill in January because he was troubled by a pattern of omitting God from the nation’s heritage.
I'm troubled by a pattern of including god in the nation's heritage.

The new motto should just be "We're All Lumberjacks and We're Okay!"
I 34T ALL NAT N I WURK ALL DAI

Most of the people booing about "america sucks" don't know the first thing about politics and try to look like they know what's behing the curtains.

I'm not saying it doesn't suck but Jesus Christ you guys sure do know how to throw a fit over nothing!

Where does it say that?
The U.S. House of Representatives will vote Tuesday on a resolution to affirm the phrase “In God We Trust” as the nation’s official motto.

“As our nation faces challenging times, it is appropriate for Members of Congress and our nation—like our predecessors—to firmly declare our trust in God, believing that it will sustain us for generations to come.”
