Yes you are.

You pointed it out to make it seem like it was not.

Personally I think the only way for government to work is to completely flush out religion and money. These two factors are currently the main worries about the GOP candidates.

The first I agree with.
The second is lol.

Government - Money = No power whatsoever lol.

We'd be back to the articles of confederation days.

the articles of confederations failed. The government couldn't survive without centralism, and therefor tried from those years on to centralize economics and power.

the United States of America's government has way to much power now

checks and balances is failing

Yes, the lack of centralism was a lack of power which lead to a lack of means to get money. They couldn't tax people with every states approval pretty much. They couldn't get money, and a government needs money, this goes back to Oasis' suggesiton.

I blame much of the indecision in our government on corporate interests. Corporations should not be allowed to simply hand politicians money.

I personally think that what the United States has become is an absolute disgrace. I truly do hate living in a country that can't even remember the morals it was founded on, and then goes on to say that everything we do is right, and other people are the bad guys. In my opinion, the entire government should be fired, and completely new people should be put in.

A thought just occurred to me, and now that I am thinking of it I want to make a larger topic on the Occupy protests. Would anyone want to help me make a draft?

Glad to see that Congress has their priorities straight. :cookieMonster:

Politics are often directly and indirectly intertwined with economics.

So, lets say a big company supports a politician who promises to destroy minimum wage. That company donates tons and tons of money to his campaign in order sway the public opinion

Once this guy is in office, he's basically a puppet to the corporations, not necessarily a puppet of the people who voted for him.

the republic is really dumb sometimes

How about legalizing marijuana
