"I think we should eliminate this efficient and plentiful source of energy because it was dangerous two times in the past."
List of nuclear accidents. However I would like to note that those killed directly by these accidents adds up to 62.
Have coal plants ever caused harm at the magnatude of a nuclear power plant?
Coal plants actually produce more gamma/beta rads than a nuclear power plant ever does. Emissions from coal plants are a leading contributor to smog, a serious (and possibly lethal) irritant for those with asthma. Do your research first before you sound like an idiot.

An animation, trying to make nuclear power plants look good

HA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Fun fact, Nuclear power plants only power 14% of the world, now think about it, they power so little of the world, yet are pretty much the single most disastrous thing you could possibly imagine if gotten out of control

ex: Fukashima, Chernobyl

oh, and the government wants to make all of our power come from power plants coming up soon btw

That's only because people think that nuclear reactors are ticking time bombs that will go off if you so much as sneeze at them.

Modern reactors are a hell of a lot safer then early ones. Which weren't built too well and the operators didn't pay attention to safety rules and such.

Fukushima's reactors had known faults that the designers and possibly the government knew about, but they didn't do anything about them. And then there's the fact it got hit by a tsunami.

As for Chernobyl they were doing a test to see if they could develop a way to "jump start" the reactor (Which really shouldn't of been approved due to safety reasons, And ended up starting in the middle of a change of shift) The operators where also conducting the test half-heartily and had disabled nearly all the safety system for it. So naturally due to corner-cutting, Poor design, The lack of people informed about the test, and the complete lack of engaged safety systems the whole thing went bad.

unless the uranium rods get too hot

unless the uranium rods get too hot
In which case any operator with half a brain would scram the reactor and start pumping in new coolant?

in any case I agree with you completely, I was saying that just because

And what about all the other plants? if one plant had faults like this, whats the difference with all the rest?

that they don't have faults...?

that they don't have faults...?
Correct, whats stopping the government from ignoring any faults in any other plants?

my god comr4de you gotta change your avatar to comething more comr4de-ish, I keep thinking you're Ike :f

what

Correct, whats stopping the government from ignoring any faults in any other plants?
I dunno, the people who work there or something

Correct, whats stopping the government from ignoring any faults in any other plants?
fear that they'll bugger something up maybe?

knowing that the power plants can potentially be dangerous if problems are left unattended?

what if everyone is dumb in the head and reactor go bewmfsosh???
