My computer isn't WORTH booting up.
Can you gift me it via mail/ups?
I'll be sure to upgrade it gradually and pay you nothing for it.

It's a Compaq S6000NX.

I've only added 246 MB of ram, with a total of 798.

Compaq?
That's extra credit.
I'll be sure to ask your teacher to give you an A on one of your classes.

Alright. Thanks for the help. Just applied for an RMA.
Also, if the motherboard isn't the problem, what will I do then? By the time the replacement arrives, it will be past the 30 day mark for any other returns via Newegg.
If it's not the PSU, or the power cycle buttons, it can't really be anything else, to my knowledge.

I would just rely on the people fixing it at the store.

Who rip you off, and tell you that lots of things are wrong with your computer when they're not.

I seem to have come across an issue.
Upon removing my CPU, I seem to have thrown away the plastic holder for it's safe keeping. What can I use to keep it safe while not in use?

That's a tough one.
Is it AMD or Intel?
If it's Intel, you could store it maybe in an anti-static bag, cause they don't have pins.
AMD does though, so that's difficult.
Also I don't know for sure if it's safe to put a CPU in an anti-static bag, but I can't see why not.

it should be fine. honestly itd probably be fine in any bag as long as you store it somewhere safe.

Holy hell. How do I get these bloody standoffs off of the motherboard? When I was unscrewing it from the case, the standoffs came with it. I can't get these damned things off. But I have to. afsdg help
