Also, if the motherboard isn't the problem, what will I do then? By the time the replacement arrives, it will be past the 30 day mark for any other returns via Newegg.

If it's not the PSU, or the power cycle buttons, it can't really be anything else, to my knowledge.

That's a tough one.
Is it AMD or Intel?
If it's Intel, you could store it maybe in an anti-static bag, cause they don't have pins.
AMD does though, so that's difficult.
Also I don't know for sure if it's safe to put a CPU in an anti-static bag, but I can't see why not.
