why do foreign trains ALWAYS look lovey :c.

Kinda biased, it's like comparing India's old steamers with Acela Express of AMTRAK.

America's infrastructure has actually been graded. We have a D in everything including the railway network.

why would japan need such fast trains? you can walk through the country in a matter of minutes

Japan has a massive amount of people, walking to in from work in a dense urban area is impractical. So about twice every day, once in the morning, and once in the evening. They all cram themselves into trains to the point where guards literally have to push more people in just to close the doors. These trains are almost historically never late as well. If one of these trains is ever late they give you a slip of paper to show to your boss or teacher because they won't believe you otherwise.

A large portion of Japan relies on trains as their primary mode of transportation.

I like Japan's train <3

The Amtrack train isn't a passenger train, as it's designed solely as a cargo train.

So what are you getting at

mr train y u no cool liek the othr trains?

A large portion of Japan relies on trains as their primary mode of transportation.
similar to how a large portion of the USA relies on aircraft for long-distance transport.

hence amtrak has such little money to make pretty trains with

I like America's train more than the rest.
