Chair ruins the "detailed" version

Blocko doesn't have to be stuffty like the top one.

There's a point, for me, where it gets too detailed. Namely, with those textures. It just doesn't look good to me.

I vote for the missing middle ground.
This.

The top one is really poorly built.
The bottom one doesn't even look like Blockland.
Also quoting this cause I knocked it off the page

This. It's not really a choice between "overly complex" and "4-year-old mode".

The chair looks way out of place.
It looks way too non-blocky, and just ruins the otherwise beautiful picture...
The candleholder is great, though.

The chair is literally made out of cubes. I do not understand you people.

minus the prints/textures the "detailed" would look really good.

detailed textures don't really fit in with the rest.

The rest are also detailed textures.

When you have an environment that's entirely "blocko" and have only certain things "detailed", it gets a bit odd.

But really, the above choice is rather poorly made anyways.

Are you saying the chair in the detailed picture is too blocko?

The blocko image has been purposefully made to look bad. Blocko is about making the model blocko, not building badly with bricks.

However, I've always liked extra detail, which is why I made that tile print pack a while back with authentic stone tile textures.

I'm saying it'd look odd in a place where everything else is blocko.

Using a vehicle chair is silly, trying to make things look nice using only bricks enhances creativity.
