oh god, not Russia! -"Discussions" forbidden at a Pskov cafeteria

"Free Shore" does not yet have a room for weekly meetings, that people grew fond of. To share news and discuss pressing topics we chose a completely empty (on evenings, except weekends) cafe "Chersky", where we are sitting on Thursdays sat down in 10-14 men with a cup of coffee or a glass of beer, and some combining a dinner plate, and talked.

But last Thursday, five women moved closer to us and were very loud, apparently provoking a scandal, yelling over our conversations. Even then, it was suggested to be a clear provocation, but because we were still in a public place, we did not interfere, curled up and went away.

Arriving today at the regular "gatherings", the waitress said the hostess got a prohibition on us to visit the cafe. Basis is that we are engaged in "discussions" and discourage visitors.

Well if you count a drunk-in-the-trash guy with a woman (that later lost him at all), and these noisy Pskov girls "visitors" (that's the only visitors we have seen from the visitors for the evenings. (We always left at 8:30)), the status of the establishment apparently is clear. But the most interesting thing is, according to the waitress, the owner looked over the video. And apparently listened to it, since she did not like the theme of the session. Our question, why don't fishermen that gather there on Wednesdays interfere with non-existent visitors, got a full response: "But they do not talk!"

Well then, it turns out it's not news anymore that our visitors can get spied on. But that hosts can choose visitors by ideological pinpoints... apparently this is the next step, after the deprivation of their rights to rest at nature parks, or on the shores.

Your meeting place is the owner's posession. If it works differently in Russia, enlighten me, but the owner has every right to boot you out.

I'm not saying that it was a smart business move, or the right thing to do. In fact, I fail to see why the owner would make a fool move like that. I am however, saying that, at least in the US they have the right.

Find a different hangout if it bothers you so much. It's skin off the business owner's back if you don't go there anymore.

Communism doesn't work. Only theoretically would it work.

Don't give me China as an example, they are moving towards a free market system. Everyone who uses China as an example is stupid because half of their population are basically slaves, with virtually no labor laws.
