*  Man 2, startled by the fact that his pants are suddenly gone, finds himself sitting in a pile of priceless diamonds.
Finding the wizard who turned his pants into diamonds to be e-maxx, he springs up, takes the magician's hand and shakes it vigorously, any scrap of his previous depression gone with the wind and replaced with DIAMONDS.
Man 2 takes up the diamonds in a burlap sack and runs into the store to buy himself a new pair of pants. He desperately hopes they'll serve him.

*  Man 2 realizes with a start that the store likely doesn't take diamonds as currency. To the bank!
