Rooney was hospitalized on October 25, 2011, after developing postoperative complications from an undisclosed surgery, and died on November 4, 2011, at the age of 92, three weeks after his last appearance on 60 Minutes.

I was very sad to hear this. I always liked watching Rooney on his 60 Minutes segment, he said some pretty funny things.

Dayum, at least he lived to 94!

Used to watch him during the tail end of 60 Minutes when it ran over into The Amazing Race. I enjoyed his segment and he will be missed.

When I saw the news this morning I thought it said Art Rooney II died. Hell, If that happened, All of Pittsburgh would shut down.

I've known who Andy Rooney is for years, so I might be one of those 4 people.

My family watches 60 minutes a lot and he's always my favorite part. I will miss him quite a bit.

He had a good, long life, and left an impression on a good amount of people.
