This is pretty damn smart. Obviously no one thought that truck needed extra protection as it was just video games, so it was very easy to rob. But it's cargo was still worth around 400,000 euros.

that's handicapped. its extremely obvious this was done by criminals in it for the monetary gain.
no one that just wants to play it a few days earlier is sophisticated or dedicated enough to plan something like this. its not like the truck's route was announced to the public a month in advance.

you don't steal 400,00 euros worth of ANYTHING on a whim or without planning it for a long time.

That shipment was worth about 360,000 american (not counting special editions). What makes this better than raiding money is that if you raid a shipment of money they will track the money's serial number.

Not only that but I forgot to mention. A bank truck carrying 400,000 American dollars would be guarded by a heavily armored truck on a convoy with 4 other police cars or motorcycles.

You are literally better off robbing a video game truck than an armored bank car and you can expect the same results.
