Author Topic: 8-bit palette colorset | Made it just because I could!  (Read 2659 times)

I thought to myself, 'Why the heck not?'. I loaded up an 8-bit palette I got off of google images and started making a colorset just to do so. It is quite nice, as you see. There is a LOT of colors, 56 colors to be exact.

Don't know what else there is to say, except this is the first add-on I've decided to make :o

:o

neat

i may actually start using this

it's got almost everything i'll ever need

The colors are good, but could you rearrange them in a way so they more resemble some sort of rectangle?  I personally cannot stand colorsets that have different sized columns

It's arranged as neatly as it can be without being choppy :c

Also some screenshots using the colorset + default builds!

The best part is that it's similar to the default colorset.

it's like im really in the '80s!!!

I thought 8bit consoles couldn't produce brown and purple

That was the palette, there were still sprite limitations and color limitations.

I believe you could have only eight colors per layer, counting transparencies and greyscale.

cool
That's all I have to say

Ike, on my colorset, said I didn't put effort in and that I shouldn't of taken two hours because it took Ikt 6 minutes, then he said it wasn't his, he copied someones and tweeked it, so this one isnt Ike's.

You're a special kind of stupid.

The colorset was made off of an 8-bit palette, the colors already pre-existed because every system that ran in 8-bit used the 8-bit palette, which I said in your thread, and in the op of this thread.

And I never said I put more effort in mine than you, I just said yours looks like it had no effort put into it, regardless of how long you took. Two hours to make a simple colorset is really exaggerated.
