Today me and a bunch of people were having a football game like we frequently do. I caught the ball while running and to avoid running out of bounds I cut back quickly, not seeing that a member of defense was right behind me coming in for a tackle. When I turned back I turned right in the path of his skull. He pretty much jumped at me so his entire body weight hit me. Normally this would not be bad but the top of his head ended up slammed me directly in the face at full speed.
After the hit it was bleeding for a bit and I was really dizzy, which made a minor concussion seem possible. When these symptoms went away I played for a bit more then when we finished I finally got a look at it. The very top of my nose is slightly swollen and bruising is clear on the skin, but no physical deformities are visible. I gave myself a concussion test and it would be very minor if anything.
Right now I'm just relaxing with a bad headache and an icepack for my nose.
Has anyone here ever had a broken nose? I'm good with first aid but diagnosing it goes beyond that.
