Author Topic: A question that has been bothering me.  (Read 662 times)

Hey guys. I'm here to share a thought, or question, about something.
Humans are an advanced civilization. We know this, it is fact. We have gone to the moon and sent probes into space. So, what happens when we achieve space colonization? The world is split into nations that occasionally have war for reasons unknown, so what happens when we fight over the entire universe? Will the colony's in space be split up? Will we sabotage each other? Space stuff it too expensive, we cant do this as the United states alone.

The question:
If, or when we colonize space, what the forget will happen with the war situation?

Think about it guys, think about it.

Most likely each country will live as far apart as possible.

When we go to space

I assume we'll have larger things to focus on then warring with other colonies.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away

Humans are smart, but we still have war on earth. Why not in space?

I'm pretty sure the nations of earth will all eventually be westernized and will all unite under one flag. Eventually.

Hopefully us humans will become more sensible and establish peace against our neighboring lands. But of course there is no such thing as peace so guys get out your plasma blasters.

darth vader blows up earth or something

Massive human space colonization cannot be achieved until global peace is found.

This, this exactly is my point.

Massive human space colonization cannot be achieved until global peace is found.
Global peace will never be found because it takes only one person with some gasoline and a match to start the whole thing up again.

I honestly think we should clean things up here on Earth before loving with other planets.

Humans are smart, but we still have war on earth. Why not in space?

Because we A) May have to deal with hostile extraterrestrials

B) Space anomalies

C) If we're able to achieve space travel, I guarantee you a divided world wouldnt be able to do it inbetween paying for massive armies

We'd all have to be united.

Massive human space colonization cannot be achieved until global peace is found.
This.

However, since humans tend to be incredibly obstinate, compromise needed to do so is very far off.

I don't want to go to space after my friend forced me to watch all the Dead Space death scenes ;-;
