From what I've heard, Acer notebooks are fragile and break easily, I suggest being careful with them and reinstalling your operating system with an OEM copy so you avoid debilitating bloatware.

anyone recommending alienware is dumb as forget

According to Ethan, I'm not a good person because I was trying to help Trifax. Also, why did you become so defensive out of the blue? Next time, correct me in a nicer way.

This is the internet. You want nice? Go prance around in a field of flowers with the lollypop girl.

Whatever
Because you ever so smartly told me to "Think before you post Ethan."
When you were wrong.

Lol it's not a big deal

Somebody is spending a decent-portion of cash for something that they need to last.

It'd be a big deal to me.  (Although, I don't ever try to help people with computer help as I paid for an Alienware Desktop)

Crappier graphics than the one Ethan posted but a faster CPU.

Comparison video of some games playing on both:

Acer that Ethan posted:

Dell:

The dell is also available for 399 if you take off a GB of ram

The Acer would be better for gaming, but however he doesn't want it for gaming. Dell is probably a better deal, especially if you can drop $100 for the 1GB RAM? You could add that back yourself for like $20, lol.

BTW Source engine comparing to MW2 isn't really even TBH. Hard to compare.

Look at this:

$500, not £500, and completely better in every way. Plus it's an Acer which make better products than Dell, and it's 17 inch.

Hey..I've seen that before...

Will it run TF2, HL2, etc. without any crashes, lagging, etc?

Yeah.
You *might* have to tone down the resolution for more detailed games though. But Source games will be fine.
