I have a gut feeling that they're completely different shows and, as such, shouldn't be compared in anything other than animation quality. Also, Turn A Gundam is pretty different from previous Gundam shows (and definitely superior to anything they put out today, even the awesome Unicorn).Anywaaaaay, the designs in Votoms and the original Gundam were both done by Kunio Okawara, which explains why some of them look a lot like Zakus.
