This is legit the only anime where I would be pleased for them to (at least slightly) drag on a fight.
Unlike Bleach and Dragonball where each fight is 20+ episodes.
I took a quick look at the episodes spent fighting from Dragon Ball Z and from what I saw they are roughly as follows:
Raditz 3
Saiyans 12
Ginyu 11
Frieza 28
Androids 5
Cell 17
Buu Who knows they fight him on and off so much I didn't feel like counting. It's about the same as Frieza.
I didn't look at original Dragon Ball or GT. About a quarter of the episodes of Dragon Ball Z are spent fighting the major villains of the series. Interestingly, Dragon Ball Kai ran from the arrival of Raditz to the defeat of Cell and ran for 97/98 episodes. To that point in the original anime was 191/192 episodes. That means half of the series running time was filler.
