this is mostly true, but there's plenty of exceptions...though a lot of times the continuations aren't part of the same series, just the same metaseries.

So I started watching One Piece (17 episodes ago) because I was bored. Anything I should know? (Spoilers free plz)

the animation really starts to suck at one point, where a bunch of attacks are pretty much just slideshowy(i mean that you don't actually see characters doing anything while attacking, they're just suddenly in a mid-attack pose)
