i don't know what you'd call that genre of games, but i really got into it with custom robo and that one one touhou game, so that actually looks pretty sick

I'd classify Virtual-On as a fighting game, considering how a lot of people use similar terminology. It's also pretty complex (at least, the first two games are).

My grandma got it for me and my siblings when I was about 12 or 13, and I had no idea what anime even was back then. I enjoyed it, and I guess it shares it's similarities with other cartoons like Digimon, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other anime of that sort. Apparently it's also fairly old. I think I only watched about the first 4 to 5 episodes, and I haven't seen the DVD since.
