My grandma got it for me and my siblings when I was about 12 or 13, and I had no idea what anime even was back then. I enjoyed it, and I guess it shares it's similarities with other cartoons like Digimon, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other anime of that sort. Apparently it's also fairly old. I think I only watched about the first 4 to 5 episodes, and I haven't seen the DVD since.

Probably the original Yu-Gi-Oh series. First anime movie I've watched was probably Spirited Away

InuYasha was  the first anime I've seen, only because at night my brother and sister choose what to watch. The first anime I choose to watch was High School Host Club on Netflix.

Pokemon on 4kids. If that doesn't count, the first series I seriously watched to the end was either Cowboy Bebop or Gungrave.

Sailor Moon popped my anime cherry. Then I grew up watching the Pokemons, Digimons, Toonami, Adult Swim, etc.

I think Trigun was the first one I explicitly went out and watched knowing it was anime and not those cartoons that look weird.

Them Mexicans love the DBZ. They got a Spanish dub of Battle of Gods for South America like it was nothing.

They're also crazy about fighting games too, but they're all bad at them so

First anime I watched was Mobile Suit Gundam on Toonami.

Finished Solid State Society, god damn that bit with Togusa nearly made my eyes water completely on their own despite my immense masculinity. It was great.
Gonna have a shower then watch the next movie, also (forgive for being painfully out of the loop, I've only really gotten into GITS recently) but yeah GITS online sounds sweet from what I've read so far, as well as Arise 2 in a few weeks apparently, can't say I'm in love with the art style but what can you do.
