Word of warning, the third season skips a bunch of conquests, two or three of them that are important to the entire arc are heavily condensed in two or so episodes as flashbacks. There's also two OVAs that take place between seasons, the second being pretty necessary to the third season. Or you can watch the first two seasons and the first OVA and ignore the third season and second OVA. The manga handled them better...but there's a catchy insert song in the last episode of the third season. Damn.

Also the horse carriage is from Gundam.

I think Manglobe's budget disappeared right after Samurai Flamenco episode 10...11 and 12 have some seriously stuff animation.
