has anybody ever actually pulled off 3d anime without the animations/rendering looking weird as forget
Arpeggio of Blue Steel and Knights of Sidonia are entirely CGI but certain movements still look unnatural in both.
Gundam Unicorn's CGI definitely stands out from the rest of the 2D animation (which, by the way, is probably the best Sunrise has put out in a long time) but it surprisingly looks a lot less stuff than pretty much everything that uses CGI as a shortcut.
Then there are those people that only watch certain genres like highschool animes or mecha series.
Actually, I've found that people are much more likely to dislike certain genres. Usually without good reason.
