the ending is predictable after you've watched the first episode and after a while it suddenly turns into a ton of drama while it advertises itself as a comedy anime
it's not bad or anything but it loses its comedy aspect like 6 episodes in

Spent the day watching Scrapped Princess, was fairly good, though the writing got kinda lame in some parts and I feel they really stuffed up the dramatic aspects of stuff, like every time something big/sudden/important/emotional happened it was like "yeah that lasted 2 seconds and it's over now" with no music buildup or anything so I kinda didn't care that much, and the ending was pretty whatever.

I can't stand SAO, the first episodes I found thoroughly enjoyable as they contained action, fights and cool game stuff, but after that they completely stripped the show of all fights, like a giant ass boss would appear and I'm like "loving finally a good fight" and then they're just like nah 1 hit KO that bitch because we want to focus on this little kid and terribly written romance that the show is all about now. And then they all became pixies.
Also I discovered fukkireta again, god damn this stuff's catchy.

I liked it a lot. I think I just have low standards, cus I like almost everything I watch
but I really liked all the game stuff. it was way cool. like the idea of being, in every way that matters, physically inside some world you created however you wanted. that's so cool to me. and not only do you get to be in it but you can bring other people with you. it's incredible. I really hope we actually reach something like that before I die or just get too old for stuff like that. but that's probably wishful thinking

Kirito is a terrible character, Asuna is cardboard, the fact that every female character wants Kirito's richard for no reason makes him worse than Ichika from Infinite Stratos, plot lines are stupid and nonsensical even in the context of anime, game world is inconsistent within itself.

Still better than Mahouka.

I don't really think about that stuff when I'm watching something though. I just ask, "is this entertaining enough to keep watching?" and if the answer is yes, then I do. it usually is yes. and then, I might think about the more complex stuff later, but at that point I already liked it or I didn't, so
