I don't necessarily dislike them. I just never found a reason to watch them over something else, even though I've been meaning to watch them.

Gurren Lagann and Evangelion are the only ones I bothered to watch because they were pretty stylistic.
So as I finish NGE I'll probably find something to watch like Eureka 7

Overall I'm in to good action anime, shuonen or seinen. Don't really like funny stuff because I just can't understand the japanese sense of humor tbh.

...and that wouldn't change the fact that it doesn't matter. The common denominator in mech shows is mechs. That's not a generalization, it's a preference. The very concept of a giant fighting robot doesn't interest me.
