Author Topic: I talked with Tracy Caldwell  (Read 1132 times)

For those of you who don't know she's an astronaut who has spent a total of 188 days in space and 22 hours in space walks. She held a lecture at Pepperdine University and it was free and the astronomy club at my school got some tickets, and I was one of the two people to actually go to it (from the astronomy club). It was purdy awesome, she talked about what space was like in general, what she did in the ISS, the anatomy of the ISS, and how she repaired the critical malfunction which shut off half the power on the ISS. She also showed us a carpload of pictures she took from the station which are a lot cooler than things you'll see on Google Earth and such. I talked with her for a while afterwards asking about space and stuffs and what you need to be an astronaut and such and yeah. Asked for a picture with her because yeah. Discuss whatever, space or similar experiences I dunno.

Reese's are cool

P.S. I'm a little late on this because the lecture was on November 3rd, but I ment to make a topic before which is all that counts... maybe.
Also, I mainly remembered to make this because of this lovey little topic right here.
