Author Topic: How the forget do I use Twitch.tv  (Read 3528 times)

jesus loving christ why is this so complicated
For this, there are NO tutorials at all! So I have not the slightest loving clue how to use it. The video I am broadcasting is just a lightning bolt on the screen, and I cant change it.
I cannot find a single way or anything telling me how to change my recording settings, such as what camera I use, or HOW TO loving USE IT AT ALL. I have checked a forum, and all the tutorials literally describe how to MAKE tutorials, and provide no information whatsoever on how to use it

you need to download XSplit Broadcaster

you need to download XSplit Broadcaster
Please tell me it doesn't cost money

Okay, I downloaded it and Ive got it centered on what I want to record. However, the Twitch.tv thing is still that stupid lightning bolt and I don't know how to make my stream live. This is making my computer move so slowly that the polar ice caps will melt before Ill be able to finish. I'm tempted to give up.

open XSplit > Broadcast > Edit channels... > Add > JustinTV

then enter your username and password for TwitchTV and, if your computer is decent, put your quality to 8.
now whenever you stream, it will play on your TwitchTV channel

There is no "edit channels" button, but there is an add channels button.
forget this, I jus twaited several minutes for that to finish, which it never did. This is killing my computer, Ill just record with FRAPS. I need to get another computer.

then use Add channels
jesus forget you're making this harder than it really is
XSplit runs perfect on my computer

and FRAPS is a load of stuff and a total memory hog
