Author Topic: A company in Japan has invented 3D holographic displays.  (Read 2899 times)

and next comes motion sensing to turn a hologram into a 3D computer :D
I think they've already got motion-sensing stuff.

what purpose do video games serve?

entertainment.

Your large flatscreen is double the size of a hologram and in all the colors of the rainbow while a hologram is one color.

On the bright side, math class just got potentially more exciting.

Holographics seem pointless unless used for tracking devices.
As soon as I saw that video I was thinking about 3D maps. Like this, but not necessarily a battlefield display.

I heard somewhere that a complete soccer game will be projected on another field so the sport can be watched like a regular game. Would be awesome if they really do it.

Made by European engineers.

Looks like the holograms from the very first star wars movie!!

They said something about it being possible to have multiple colored things :o

Hasn't this all been around for a long time?

The purpose of this is for it to be re-developed so it is compact, then ThinkGeek will get a hold of it and make it look completely badass.
Then I will get one and act like Darth Sidius.
