Nissan Leaf is 29k and the Prius is ~25k last I checked. The volt isn't on the market yet. They are all treehugger cars :3

Hybrid cars are all very great. But, the fact that they have to make the batteries pretty much makes more pollution than driving a standard engine car.
Also, less power than a fart, and they all look really gay. And you only get so many hours on a charge then you have to charge them for 10 or so hours.
Until Hydrogen comes in as a reasonable form of fuel, petrol/diesel engines are the way to go.
'Cept the Volt, which runs on electricity from its battery or from gasoline generator type thing.

the volt is great, but it's so ridiculously expensive for what you get.

I hate how they rebrand cars all around the world.

Holden body/chassis, Chevrolet engine, and they sell them as Vauxhalls, Opels, Pontiacs, Chevrolets, HSVs and Holdens.

that's gm's mode of operation - a different company for every country. ford is ford where ever they are sold.

Does any one know if this is a good buy?
I like RX-8, heard it has really good handling. It's not extremely powerful but it will rev high. But you will HATE paying for your own gas with it. It's rotary engine is a gas guzzler. Also it might be hard to find because I believe it's discontinued. You'll have to take good care of it and the engine still probably won't last more than 200k miles if you're lucky.

Well, Australian Fords are actually rebranded Mazdas.

What about a car that can run on natural gas

Wait you guys are talking seriously about getting electric cars?

You should not get an electric car at this stage of development. The Volt is not a very good car to just get for practical use.

Yeah, rotary engines are stuff. Not torquey, small capacity big guzzlers, not very fast, sound stuff and if you so much look at it with the intention of speeding up, it will blow up in your face. So fragile.

they discontinued it just like 2 months ago, it's not going to be that hard to find.

I think the RX-7 turbo rotaries are the ones that have a bad reputation. I've heard the RX-8 versions are much more reliable.

There is only 2 main companies I know are from Ford it self and Tickford (simi-dead).

Get a Falcon it only available at Australia.
