Right now, the US Congress is debating a law that would give them the power to censor the world's Internet -- creating a blacklist that could target YouTube, WikiLeaks and even groups like Avaaz!

Under the new law, the US could force Internet providers to block any website on suspicion of violating copyright or trademark legislation, or even failing to sufficiently police their users' activities. And, because so much of the Internet's hosts and hardware are located in the US, their blacklist would clamp down on the free web for all of us.

The vote could happen any day now, but we can help stop this -- champions in Congress want to preserve free speech and tell us that an international outcry would strengthen their hand. Let’s urgently raise our voices from every corner of the world and build an unprecedented global petition calling on US decision makers to reject the bill and stop Internet censorship. I doubt they'd actually do this.

I could see the following problems:

Gigantic loving riots and protests. Seriously.

Lots of debates and arguments

Thousands (more) lbs of hatemail to the president.

If they do do this, All of you do the following:

1. Pm me for address
2. Come over here right now
3. We'll all load up on guns and molotovs and other weapons and gather everyone we know that's willing to support us
4. Storm them bitches!

Victory will be ours, mentlegen.

If we can't get our hands on guns we'll just use molotovs and knives. I've got at least 50lb. of glass soda bottles and almost anything can be used as fuel+a fuse.

Sorry for double toast but,

Now that I think about this this may even cause a war, due to the majority of websites being based in the states. I'm pretty damn certain this would start several riots in the gaming community and most other internet-based communities. I'll be pissed as hell if they do this.

I think this would happen if stuff.. happenned. along with the things in my above post.

Lots and lots of songs erased from youtube, the site possibly even being shut down
Just about every source of real information about the outside world being erased
Lots of angry children complaining about their research being restricted to 18yos.
I could also see lots of fandoms and groups and whatnot being barred. Bronies, Furries, Some weeaboo groups, Stuff like that.
